2.79 Rig
Are you crazy? Well this rig is JUST FOR YOU!
Hi guys! This is a rig I made a while ago as a challenge to make a rig old-school in Blender 2.79. That means: no selecting multiple objects in edit mode, no bone shape transformations, a load of 3D theory and other stuff that nowadays we don't have to deal with.
I do admit, it was a bit of a challenge (I mean it shows through the fact that the bends aren't even the same on both sides ðŸ˜), but I managed.
I will say one thing: I made this ages ago, therefore I forget what was actually done in 2.79 and what wasn't, I may have done some stuff in later versions like 3.6 and then transferred it to 2.79 just because it's impossible in 2.79. For example, I remember making the base armature in Blender 3.6 and then importing it as an .FBX into 2.79. I think this is the only cheating I did, but that was because I couldn't find the auto-symmetrization in 2.79.
Oh well, use this for whatever you want. It's a basic blocky GFX rig with only FK, but it uses a bendy torso system which is a plus. You do not have to credit me, just don't edit this one without my written permission nor claim ownership.
